KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity this Ramadan, the Bernama Staff Club (KKB) distributed 1,000 containers of bubur lambuk to staff of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), bringing festive cheer to the agency’s newsroom and other departments.
KKB deputy president Mohd Shukri Ishak said the initiative saw 30 club members coming together to prepare the traditional Malaysian porridge dish, which was shared with staff in celebration of the holy month.
“Today, we gathered to cook and distribute bubur lambuk as a symbol of unity and goodwill among Bernama’s staff, honouring this blessed season,” he said at the bubur lambuk distribution event at Wisma Bernama here today.
The event was made possible with support from corporate partners, including AEON, Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas), Julie’s,Pusat Pakaian Hari-Hari and Wilayah Office Trading (W.O.T.).
Also present were Bernama chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin and Bernama Editor-in-Chief, Arul Rajoo Durar Raj who is also KKB president, .
Looking ahead, Mohd Shukri announced that KKB plans to continue its support for Bernama staff and club members during the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri, with further contributions of essential food items.
