GAGASAN NADI UNIT SECURES RM134.41 MLN CONTRACT IN BANDAR ELMINA

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- Gagasan Nadi Cergas Bhd’s unit Nadi Emery Sdn Bhd (NESB) has secured a RM134.41 million contract from Lembaga Perumahan Dan Hartanah Selangor (LPHS) for the en-bloc purchase of 523 units of Rumah Idaman, under Project Rumah Idaman at Elmina 5, Bandar Elmina (Type E), Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

Nadi Emery is a 75 per cent-owned subsidiary of Nadi Cergas Development Sdn Bhd, which in turn is 70 per cent owned by Gagasan Nadi.

The construction and property development company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today that the project consists of design and build to the requirements for Skim Smart Sewa by LPHS which comprises 523 units of affordable residential housing with recreational facilities and amenities within the development area.

“This en-bloc purchase by LPHS is for the entire Elmina 5 (1.76 hectares) which consists of 523 units of Rumah Idaman, where each unit will have a built-up area of 1,000 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, provided with ceiling fans, light fittings, a low kitchen cabinet, water heaters at both bathrooms and two parking lots,” it said.

Construction of the project will commence in the third quarter of 2025 and is expected to be completed in 2028, it added.

The project is also part of the total development by NESB at Bandar Elmina, which includes Elmina 4 of 3.59 hectares and Elmina 12 (5.23 hectares).

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Gagasan Nadi group managing director Datuk Wan Azman Wan Kamal said the project will be the group’s second undertaking in City of Elmina, after breaking ground on the 1,000-unit Idaman Amani affordable housing project in Elmina 4.

He said the houses will be a significant addition to City of Elmina, a comprehensive mega township in Shah Alam, featuring extensive residential, commercial and industrial zones.

“Altogether, the group’s property development segment is developing 7,500 affordable homes in City of Elmina, Kwasa Damansara, and Bukit Jelutong, with a total gross development value of RM1.9 billion,” he said.
