KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- The RIUH Raya Kita 2025 festival, which showcases local products and designs under one roof in conjunction with Aidilfitri at Plaza Raintree, Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) here, is expected to generate over RM1.3 million in total sales.
Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching said this projection is based on the anticipated 60,000 visitors expected to attend the five-day festival, organised by MyCreative Venture with the support of the Ministry of Communications.
"A total of 75 vendors offering clothing, accessories, and festive essentials, along with 20 food and beverage vendors, are participating in this edition of RIUH Raya Kita.
"Operating hours will be from 3 pm to 2 am beginning today. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport to avoid traffic congestion," she told reporters at the event.
The festival will also feature 23 stage performances and nine creative workshops, including khat calligraphy, ketupat weaving, traditional kompang drumming, and DIY raya money packets.
At the event, Teo handed over donations to two veteran singers Shima and Zaiton Sameon, as well as veteran actresses Margaret Gan and Maimunah Ahmad, better known as Mak Jah, under the Budi Seni Programme.
"These contributions are given to veteran female artistes in conjunction with Women's Day. This year, four veteran female artistes each received a RM2,000 cash donation and RM1,500 shopping vouchers," she said.
