PM ANWAR AND WIFE BREAK FAST WITH TAHFIZ STUDENTS, TAMAN RAKAN RESIDENTS IN KAJANG

KAJANG, March 20 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail today spent time to break fast with more than 1,000 residents including tahfiz students at Taman Rakan, Batu 11, Kajang here.

The Prime Minister and his wife arrived at Taman Rakan Mosque at 6.50 pm with their daughter, Nurul Ilham Anwar.

Also present were Kajang Municipal Council president Nazli Md Taib, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan and Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof.

Upon their arrival at the mosque compound, the two of them mingled and greeted the attendees including 200 students from several tahfiz mahads.

These included Maahad Tahfiz Zaid Bin Sabit, Bera and Pusat Pengajian Al Bakri Lebak, Temerloh, Pahang as well as Maahad Tahfiz Al Ulul, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan.

After breaking fast, Anwar and his wife also performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation led by Iman I of the mosque, Mohd Mustakim Sarmuji.

Before leaving the ceremony at 8.20 pm, Anwar and Wan Azizah once again spent time greeting those present especially the children who were seen excited to meet the country's top leader.
