KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the organiser of SEACare 2025, has announced the inaugural SEA Healthcare and Pharma Conference 2025 taking place from April 23 to 25 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

Co-organised by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) and Five Pillar Venture Capital Sdn. Bhd, the conference will run alongside the SEACare 2025 exhibition.

“This will mark another milestone for SEACare, which was acquired by Qube in 2024,” Qube said in a statement here today.

Delegates attending all three days of the conference will be eligible for 20 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points each from the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) and the Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS), said the statement.

“As Malaysia advances its healthcare agenda with a focus on digital integration, sustainable funding, and policy reforms, the conference aims to drive impactful discussions and strategic collaborations.

“With the Health Transformation Office (HTO) implementing key Health White Paper initiatives and AI-powered innovations reshaping patient care, the conference will spotlight the intersection of technology, policy, and investment in building a future-ready healthcare system,” it added.

The statement also highlighted that the conference is guided by a distinguished steering committee comprising key figures from the healthcare sector, including NCSM president and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) co-chairperson Datuk Dr Saunthari Somasundaram and the Health Ministry’s (MOH) Medical Device Authority (MDA) chief executive Dr Muralitharan Paramasua.

Also in the committee are MOH NCD’s Disease Control Division deputy director Dr Noraryana Hassan, Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia Public Health and Policy Prof Eli Renganathan; and Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Business Development director Zainul Alam Abdul Kadir.

Meanwhile, Noraryana said the conference provides a comprehensive approach to healthcare, covering the entire disease continuum with case studies in areas such as diabetes and cancer while focusing on core health system pillars such as financing and system strengthening.

“By bridging clinical practice with policy discussions, it offers valuable insights for a diverse range of stakeholders, from healthcare providers to policymakers, who can apply these learnings within their own contexts across the region,” she said.

The conference organising chairman and NCSM managing director, Associate Prof Dr Murallitharan M said the conference is designed to address the most pressing developments in healthcare by exploring advancements in digital health, AI-driven innovations, and sustainable financing strategies, serving as a catalyst for transformative change in the regional healthcare landscape.

“These discussions aim to equip stakeholders with valuable insights and practical solutions to navigate the evolving challenges of the industry in the coming years,” he added.

Qube executive chairman Richard Teo said the conference marks a significant milestone as SEACare's first-ever conference, designed to go beyond a traditional trade event by fostering critical dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.

“This conference reflects SEACare's evolution not just as a platform for business opportunities but as a driver of transformative ideas that will shape the future of healthcare in the region,” he said.

The conference will feature a comprehensive programme covering Healthcare Transformation, focusing on innovative healthcare delivery models, policy shifts, and strategies to strengthen health systems; Healthcare Financing and Policy, examining sustainable financing strategies, universal healthcare coverage, public-private partnerships, and value-based care delivery; and Digital Health and AI Integration, highlighting advancements in AI, a digital health solutions, cloud computing, and their impact on patient care and healthcare accessibility.

SEACare 2025 redefines healthcare trade events by merging business with social impact and investment-driven innovation.
