ALAMANDA SPREADS FESTIVE CHEER TO CHILDREN FROM YAYAKEM WITH RAYA SHOPPING SPREE AND IFTAR

KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- In the spirit of Ramadan and Aidilfitri, Alamanda Shopping Centre treated 41 children from Yayasan Anak Yatim and Kebajikan Murid Islam Semenyih (YAYAKEM) to a special Raya shopping experience and an iftar session yesterday.

According to a statement from Alamanda, the children, aged between 9 and 12, had the opportunity to personally select new festive outfits and shoes, courtesy of retail partners including Bata, and also received ‘duit raya’ contributions from Alamanda and its tenant, TUCZ.

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd’s chief executive officer Francis Tan said that as the premier shopping destination in Putrajaya, Alamanda is committed to fostering compassion and community spirit by bringing joy to underprivileged children.

“Through this initiative, we hope to bring joy to underprivileged children who may not have the opportunity to experience Ramadan and Syawal as others do,” he said in the statement.

Meanwhile, YAYAKEM vice president Muhammad Hanafi Jalalludin expressed appreciation to Alamanda for making the celebration a meaningful one.

In the statement, Alamanda also announced that its 2025 Hari Raya campaign features Moroccan-inspired décor at Centre Court, with royal blue and gold hues.

Visitors can enjoy weekend performances of Zapin and Arabic dances, as well as VIKids-exclusive Moroccan Glass Painting workshops.

“Shoppers who spend RM700 and above will receive a set of Raya packets and a glass cookie jar, while those who spend RM1,500 and above will also enjoy an additional Alamanda e-voucher worth RM50,” according to the statement.

The campaign also supports mental health awareness through the sale of ‘Green Ribbon Pins’ throughout the promotion period.
