AMMAN, March 23 (Bernama-WAFA) – Jordan's King Abdullah II emphasised the urgent need for immediate international action to stop the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza and ensure a permanent ceasefire during a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday (March 22).
The Jordanian monarch stressed the importance of resuming humanitarian aid to Gaza in order to prevent the worsening of the already catastrophic humanitarian situation in the region.
He reiterated Jordan's firm stance against the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
King Abdullah also highlighted the grave risks of continuing Israeli assaults on Palestinians in the West Bank and the ongoing violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
