KOTA BHARU, March 26 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Petronas has presented festival packs to 4,850 families and 21 welfare homes nationwide as part of preparations for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Petronas East Coast general manager Mohamad Ahmad Shazly Ramli said the contribution was made through the 'Memacu Kehidupan Hari Raya Aifilfitri’ programme.
"This contribution enables the recipients to experience the festivity of Aidilfitri with families and friends. It also promotes community well-being and lifts the quality of life and socio-economic status of the recipients.
"In Kelantan, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department (JKM), a total of 400 underprivileged families received this contribution,” he told reporters after the 'Memacu Kehidupan Hari Raya Aifilfitri’ programme here today.
Mohamad Ahmad Shazly said each of the selected families received festival packs containing foodstuff as well Aidilfitri-themed items.
"This programme is part of Petronas’ ongoing commitment through Yayasan Petronas to assist in providing essentials to the underprivileged in preparation for the festive season.
"We hope this contribution can help ease their burdens and bring them joy during the Aidilfitri celebrations,” he said.
