LABUAN, March 27 (Bernama) -- The Labuan Media Practitioner Association (LMPA) and local village heads were treated to a special ‘Iftar’ (breaking of fast) at a leading hotel in Labuan tonight, ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The gathering, filled with festive cheers, also saw attendees presented with hampers filled with Raya cookies and gifts, all personally contributed by Labuan Member of Parliament, Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman.
Dr Suhaili said the event was organised as a gesture of appreciation for the media’s role in disseminating information and the village heads' commitment to serving their communities, was a platform for networking and fostering closer ties.
He expressed his appreciation for their hard work and dedication, particularly in serving the Labuan community.
“This is a small token of appreciation for their tireless efforts, especially in disseminating important information and fostering community harmony,” he added.
