RUSSIA HOPES FOR FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF AGREEMENTS WITH US REACHED IN RIYADH

MOSCOW, March 27 (Bernama-TASS) -- Russia expects that all agreements reached with the United States (US) during the talks in Riyadh will be fulfilled, according to Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Russian News Agency (TASS) reported that this includes a cessation of Ukraine's violations of the ban on strikes against energy facilities and the unblocking of Russian agricultural exports.

"We anticipate that all agreements reached will be implemented. Furthermore, we expect that, with the assistance of the US, Russian agricultural exports will be unblocked and that the Kiev regime will cease its violations of the 30-day ban on strikes against energy facilities," she stated.

Russia anticipates that the sanctions imposed on Rosselkhozbank and other financial institutions involved in international trade in food and fertilisers will be lifted, and that these institutions will be reconnected to the SWIFT system.

"The sanctions on Russian-flagged vessels should be revoked, and restrictions on their servicing in foreign ports should be eliminated," Zakharova stated.

"It is crucial that restrictions on the supply of agricultural machinery and goods necessary for the production of food and fertilisers to Russia be removed. Once these measures are implemented, we will begin working on the agreements reached regarding security in the Black Sea.

“These agreements focus on ensuring safe navigation, preventing the use of force, and measures to rule out commercial vessels may be used for military purposes,” she said.

During the expert consultations in Riyadh, the Russian delegation emphasised the need to inspect ships for the presence of weapons and military equipment on board.

"It is also essential to ensure that security guarantees extend to facilities in Crimea, including the Kerch Strait and the Crimean Bridge," Zakharova added.

She noted that the consultations included discussions on measures to enforce the agreements made by the presidents of Russia and the US regarding a 30-day ban on strikes against energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine, starting from March 18.

"They addressed both the possibility of extending the moratorium and the right to withdraw from it in the event of non-compliance by the other side,” she said.
