KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- Zema Global, a data management and analytics solutions provider, has announced the acquisition of cQuant.io, an industry leader in analytic solutions for energy and commodity companies.
The acquisition, supported by Zema Global’s existing investor FTV Capital, marks a significant step in the company’s mission to deliver real-time, enterprise-grade insights that transform how energy and commodity firms operate.
Zema Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Andrea Remyn Stone highlighted that the acquisition will strengthen the company’s ability to offer end-to-end data and analytics capabilities.
“Our combined offering will empower the energy and commodity sectors with the accuracy, speed, and intelligence needed to thrive in today’s dynamic environment,” she said in a statement.
Meanwhile, FTV Capital partners Robert Anderson and Brent Fierro expressed support for the acquisition, noting it positions the combined organisation as a leader in data-driven insights for the energy and commodities industries.
The integration of the two companies' cloud-native platforms will cover a full spectrum of data-related services, including data ingestion, valuation, forecasting, and portfolio optimisation.
Under the terms of the agreement, David Leevan, former CEO of cQuant.io, will join Zema Global as President, leading the company’s expansion into advanced analytics. cQuant.io will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, branded as “A Zema Global Company”.
The acquisition also underscores Zema Global’s commitment to solving challenges related to data complexity and optimising real-time decision-making for global operations.
With more than 200 clients worldwide, Zema Global now has an expanded global analytics team, enhancing its capabilities in quantitative modelling, asset valuation, renewable forecasting, and hedge optimisation.
The two companies will continue to operate as closely aligned entities–investing in innovation, product development, and global support to deliver trusted, enterprise-grade solutions for the world’s most sophisticated market participants.
