KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL), in collaboration with mystudy, officially launched the "Study in Spain Pathway", a landmark initiative that expanded international education opportunities for Malaysian students in Spain.
According to a MCKL statement, the partnership was formalised during a recent signing ceremony witnessed by Spain’s Ambassador to Malaysia José Luis Pardo, here.
MCKL chief executive officer Dr Chua Ping Yong was quoted in the statement as saying that the partnership underscored the college’s commitment to providing diverse and enriching educational pathways.
"We believe in empowering our students to pursue their academic aspirations on a global scale. This collaboration with mystudy opens a world of opportunities, allowing them to experience Spain's rich academic and cultural landscape," he said.
Mystudy is an organisation in Malaysia that actively supports students in pursuing language studies and higher education in Spain.
Meanwhile, mystudy's director CK Chiau said the partnership successfully bridged the gap between Malaysian students and top-tier Spanish universities.
"Mystudy is thrilled to collaborate with MCKL in opening exceptional educational opportunities that Spain offers, and we remain dedicated to facilitating a seamless and rewarding experience for students seeking to study in Spain," he said.
Pardo noted that the initiative strengthened educational ties between Spain and Malaysia while fostering cultural exchange and academic collaboration.
"We are delighted to see MCKL and mystudy pave the way for Malaysian students to access Spain's excellent educational opportunities," he remarked.
The benefits of the MCKL-mystudy Spain Pathway included language proficiency development, cultural immersion, academic guidance, and cost-effective education options.
Through the pathway, students could access a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including architecture and engineering, business and economics, humanities and social sciences, sciences and technology, as well as languages and cultural studies.
Interested students are advised to begin by enrolling in MCKL's Pre-University programmes to receive comprehensive academic preparation, and mystudy would assist them with university applications, language proficiency requirements, and visa procedures.
