NESTLÉ’S 1Q 2025 NET PROFIT FALLS TO RM161.34 MLN, REVENUE SLIPS TO RM1.77 BLN

KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 (Bernama) -- Nestlé (Malaysia) Bhd’s net profit fell to RM161.34 million in the first quarter of 2025 ended March 31, 2025 (1Q 2025), from RM195.51 million a year earlier, while revenue also declined to RM1.77 billion in from RM1.78 billion previously.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia,  the group said that the export sales growth remained robust at 8.8 per cent, while domestic sales were on a strong recovery path across categories, reflecting successful planning and execution during the festive periods.

“Amidst a still complex operating environment with sustained pressure on commodity prices and an intense competitive landscape, the group maintained its focus on ensuring effective sales execution across all commercial channels, as well as the continued relevance of its brands and product offerings,” it said.

According to Nestlé, its core products performed well, supported by product innovations that were well received by consumers, helping to sustain its solid market leadership position.

On prospects, the group aims to return to healthy growth levels by the first half of 2025 by continuing to invest in product innovation and enhancing its manufacturing capabilities.

“With over 113 years of presence in Malaysia, Nestlé remains committed to strengthening its presence while contributing to the wellbeing of the rakyat.

“Building on its strong foundation in Malaysia, its virtuous circle strategy continues to drive sustainable growth as the group monitors global geopolitical and market developments that may affect broader economic conditions,” it added.
