TAWAU, May 8 (Bernama) -- The public should seize the opportunity to gain various benefits, including resolving issues they are facing at government service booths during the MADANI 2025 Sabah MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR), which will take place here from tomorrow until this Sunday.
Secretary of the Cooperative, Hawker and Small Traders Development Division of the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (Kuskop), Azizul Alias, said the public needs to visit the 36 booths of federal and state ministries and agencies, as well as the 204 people's touchpoint services provided.
“In addition, there will be 158 entrepreneurs participating in the Madani Sales, asset exhibitions by four government agencies, and the most exciting part is the participation of 15 employers in the Career Carnival, offering 608 job vacancies across various sectors.
"A highly anticipated and exciting event is the MADANI Sales, featuring 200 types of goods such as fresh chicken, rice, cooking oil and eggs with discounts of up to 30 per cent," he told Bernama here today.
Azizul also said visitors should take advantage of the services and activities tailored for all segments of society, including children, families and households, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduates, entrepreneurs and small traders.
“In this programme, the ministry and various agencies have the opportunity to engage with the people on the ground, to elaborate on national policies and aspirations. It also serves as an interactive space for visitors to offer feedback.
"PMR has been expanded to the state level to provide local communities with the chance to understand, observe and assess the policies and new initiatives implemented by the government in its efforts to elevate the dignity and well-being of the people,” he said, adding that the next PMR location is in Johor.
He hopes the organisation of PMR 2025 Sabah will bring the government and the people closer together, and that the noble objectives of Malaysia MADANI will be appreciated by citizens.
"For entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to obtain the latest information on entrepreneurship and cooperatives, they can visit the ministry's pavilion or service booth," he added.
PMR is a government effort through the Project Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU), in strategic collaboration with Kuskop as the lead ministry, and the Sabah government as host, to bring services directly to the people.
The theme “Ending Poverty Through Entrepreneurship” serves as the main platform for PMR Sabah 2025, as it reflects the government’s commitment to sustainably addressing extreme poverty through an approach that empowers the people, where entrepreneurship functions as a strategic mechanism to create income opportunities, employment and social mobility for rural communities and the B40 group.
