TII, AI71 PARTNER WITH AWS TO GLOBALISE UAE-BUILT AI INNOVATIONS

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- Abu Dhabi’s Technology Innovation Institute (TII), known for developing the globally ranked Falcon series of artificial intelligence (AI) models, and AI71, have joined forces with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to expand the global reach of United Arab Emirates (UAE)-developed AI technologies.

This strategic partnership merges TII’s expertise in large language models (LLMs), AI71’s innovation in advanced AI agents, and AWS’s robust cloud-based AI and machine learning services, according to a statement.

The collaboration is designed to make Falcon models and customised AI solutions more accessible to professionals and organisations worldwide, transforming how industries function.

TII chief executive officer, Dr Najwa Aaraj, emphasised the goal of making research-driven AI widely accessible.

Meanwhile, AI71 chief AI advisory and business officer, Chiara Marcati highlighted the opportunity to scale innovation and expand into international markets, whereas AWS vice president, Tanuja Randery reiterated the commitment to empowering industries globally with secure and flexible AI capabilities rooted in UAE-led innovation.

The collaboration also aims to drive innovation across several critical areas. As part of their efforts to strengthen privacy and cybersecurity, TII will make its privacy-enhancing solution, PetalGuard, available through the AWS Marketplace, allowing organisations worldwide to adopt advanced data protection tools.

In the realm of secure AI development, TII and AWS will engage in joint cryptographic research focused on advancing privacy-preserving machine learning through cutting-edge encryption technologies.

Additionally, AI71 and AWS plan to rapidly prototype and launch new AI agents designed to meet the needs of enterprises and government institutions. To support the development of AI talent, AWS will contribute to AI71’s training programmes by providing executive certification initiatives aimed at creating globally recognised AI professionals.

Currently, TII offers multiple Falcon LLMs through Amazon SageMaker, and the latest versions are set to be available on Amazon Bedrock Marketplace, while AI71’s products, aimed at automating workflows and empowering professionals across industries, are already available in the AWS Marketplace.

Together, the three organisations aim to become the go-to partner for governments, institutions, and nations seeking turnkey, world-class AI solutions at scale.
