KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim was presented with the Budget 2026 proposals by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at an audience granted by the King to the Prime Minister today.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, the budget document was presented during the audience at Istana Bukit Tunku here.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, is scheduled to table the proposals in Parliament tomorrow.
The Prime Minister, during a briefing with media editors in Putrajaya yesterday, said that the fourth MADANI Government Budget focuses on safeguarding the people’s welfare, strengthening the economy and reinforcing the nation’s sustainable and inclusive foundations.
Based on the Order of Business on Parliament’s website, Anwar is scheduled to table the Supply (Budget) Bill 2026 in the Dewan Rakyat at 4 pm tomorrow.
The bill will be debated by members of parliament for eight days at the policy stage, followed by ministerial winding-up sessions from Oct 29 to Nov 4.
Debate at the committee stage will take place from Nov 5 to 27 before the bill is passed by the Dewan Rakyat.
