GEORGE TOWN, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Guardian Malaysia has strengthened its position as the country’s leading health and beauty retailer with the launch of its first flagship store at Queensbay Mall here.
In a statement today, Guardian said the new store is specially designed to meet the evolving needs of modern consumers and is expected to attract thousands of local shoppers and tourists each month.
Spanning 2,186 square feet, the flagship outlet features a modern retail concept with streamlined layouts and an extensive selection of the latest health and beauty brands and trends.
“Over 1,400 new and popular products have been introduced, with around half available exclusively at Guardian,” the statement said.
Guardian Malaysia managing director Priscilla Wu said the new flagship store represents the company’s commitment to enhancing the shopping experience by offering more information and a wider product selection.
“The Queensbay Mall store takes the customer shopping experience to the next level with more variety and better access to information before purchase. We help customers make informed choices with expert guidance, a broad range of brands and tailored solutions,” she said.
One of the store’s key attractions is Guardian’s first-ever Artificial Intelligence (AI) based skin health check, conducted by Guardian pharmacists certified in dermatology. The tool analyses 12 key skin parameters, including wrinkles, dark circles, blemishes, pores and acne, delivering results in just three minutes.
Positioned as a trusted skincare destination, the store also features a wide assortment of trending brands popularised by the viral #IYKYK (if you know, you know) hashtag, along with a curated Derma Skincare category.
Guardian’s flagship store also introduces a Men’s Zone, a curated section aimed at educating male customers about grooming and wellness routines.
“Here, customers can find expert tips on shaving products, skincare, hair care, deodorants and health essentials that cater to men’s needs,” Guardian said.
In addition, the Guardian’s Picks section showcases a rotating selection of curated products across health, personal care and skincare, reinforcing Guardian’s role as a trusted wellness advisor.
The store design also caters to convenience, with specially designed areas such as the Mini & Travel Zone for travellers and a comprehensive Oral Care section featuring the latest hygiene products.
To celebrate its official launch on Oct 8, Guardian offered special promotions, including RM5 deals on 30 selected items, available exclusively at the Queensbay Mall outlet on opening day.
Throughout October, customers can enjoy a range of in-store brand events, including make-up demos and free sampling sessions, with Hanasui brand activities on Oct 11–12 and Timephoria events from Oct 17–31.
Free skin health checks are also available to all customers, with MYguardian Rewards members receiving complimentary derma sample kits and RM20 vouchers when participating in these activities.
