KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s top men’s doubles pair, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, fell short of reaching the final at the French Open 2025 after going down in straight sets to Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri in the semi-finals at Glaz Arena.
The world number two pair were outplayed 14-21, 19-21 in a 40-minute battle, marking their second consecutive defeat to the Indonesian duo following their loss at the China Open in July.
The defeat also means Malaysia no longer have any representatives left in the tournament.
With the victory, Fajar and Muhammad Shohibul advance to the final, where they will face world number one, South Korea’s Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae.
