KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck the Talaud Islands in Indonesia at 1.33 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the earthquake, with a depth of 10 kilometres, occurred 33 kilometres east of the Talaud Islands.
However, there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia, it added.
