ALOR SETAR, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) has fully completed 32 of the 34 previously identified stalled projects and handed them over to buyers, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming said.
He said the remaining two projects are in their final stages and that his ministry will assist in accelerating the process to ensure they are handed over to buyers promptly.
“With the completion of these projects, there are no more ‘sick’ projects under PR1MA. The MADANI Government’s mandate is clear: no PR1MA project will be abandoned.
“The completion of these projects is a significant achievement, demonstrating the MADANI Government’s ability, through the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) and PR1MA, to revive sick projects without compromising on quality standards,” he said.
He was speaking at the key handover ceremony for Residensi Simpang Empat 2 (Phase 1) during the KPKT 2025 Sentuhan Kejayaan Programme near here, today.
Nga said that throughout 2025, PR1MA, the government’s lead agency for affordable housing under KPKT, completed five development projects comprising 2,343 residential units, including three stalled projects with 1,391 units.
“This success not only reflects PR1MA’s capabilities but also demonstrates the dedication of the entire team in ensuring that homes for the people are completed safely and to high-quality standards,” he said.
He said, since its establishment, PR1MA has developed 91 housing projects nationwide, comprising a total of 54,142 units, of which 67 projects, or 44,244 units, have been fully completed.
He added that PR1MA also recorded strong sales this year, with 1,163 units sold, generating a Gross Development Value (GDV) of over RM330 million.
“At present, 13 active projects comprising 6,513 units are under construction nationwide. These developments are being carried out with careful planning to ensure each home is completed on schedule and to the required standards.
“In addition, 11 new projects comprising 3,385 units are being planned to meet future housing needs,” he added.
