25/11/2025 09:47 PM

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- The reconstruction of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kabatang Baru in Tulid, Pensiangan will be equipped with modern educational facilities when completed.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the full replacement project worth RM50 million includes an academic block, administrative block, science laboratory, disabled-friendly facilities and various other facilities.

"This morning I came to SK Kabatang Baru in Tulid to personally inspect the current condition of the school which has been approved for the reconstruction of dilapidated school buildings through Rolling Plan 5, 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP)," she said in a Facebook post.

According to Fadhlina, through Rolling Plan 5, 12th Malaysia Plan, a total of 150 projects have been approved for the reconstruction of dilapidated schools in Sabah worth RM4.78 billion.

"The MADANI Government's commitment is clear, which is to ensure access to the best education for all students wherever they are," she said.

In addition, Fadhlina, who is also the PKR Wanita chief, said she also participated in a programme with the community in Menawo Ulu which she described as very special because the grassroots machinery of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional together gave strong support to PH candidate for the Tulid seat, Rufinah Pengeran.

"We went around the village visiting houses and sharing the stage to give talks together. We didn't feel tired at all because everything was done with full enthusiasm, agreement and cheerfulness," she said.

She said the goal at this time was only one, which was to ensure victory for Rufinah in the 17th Sabah state election.

"There are only a few days left before the election, hopefully this support will remain strong, in order to realise #HarapanUrangSabah," she said.

Tulid is one of the state seats in Pensiangan parliament constituency besides Sook and Nabawan and it is located about 190 kilometres from Kota Kinabalu.

There are 16,551 registered voters eligible to vote in the 17th Sabah state election this Saturday.
