KELANTAN GOVT COMMITTED TO ENHANCING INTEGRITY, UPHOLDING GOOD GOVERNANCE

KOTA BHARU, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- The Kelantan government expressed its aspiration for civil servants and the wider community to uphold moral values, ethics and responsibility, viewing them as crucial to advancing the state’s progress.

Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan said that efforts to strengthen integrity form the cornerstone of producing administrative staff and citizens who are both trustworthy and efficient in performing their duties.

He said the approach was in line with the state government’s aspiration to uphold good governance and ensure a system free from abuse of power.

“The state government welcomes the efforts of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) as the lead agency in enhancing administrative management through the development of a more effective internal monitoring system in accordance with established procedures,” he said in a statement today.

The statement was issued in conjunction with the 2025 Kelantan State-Level Integrity Day and International Anti-Corruption Day Celebration, which took place yesterday at the Bunga Teratai Hall, Kota Darul Naim Complex, here.

The programme, organised by the Integrity and Governance Division of the Kelantan State Secretary’s Office, was attended by 300 participants, including heads of departments and civil servants from across the state.

During the ceremony, the Anugerah Perlaksanaan Inisiatif Tatakelola Baik was introduced for the first time and presented to agencies and departments that had fully implemented the governance improvement recommendations from the Kelantan MACC.
