MOTORCYCLISTS FLOCK TO FREE ENGINE OIL CHANGE, HELMET EXCHANGE BOOTHS AT "RANCAKKAN MADANI" PROGRAMME

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- The exchange of old crash helmets for new ones and the free motorcycle engine oil change service received an overwhelming response on the first day of the “Rancakkan MADANI”  held at Dataran Putrajaya today.

A Bernama survey found that members of the public began queuing as early as 8 am at both booths, located side by side, to obtain new helmets and the free engine oil change service provided by students from a local skills college.

Also drawing strong participation were the free registrations for the MyLesen B2 programme operated by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers, as well as registration for the MyDigital ID application required to access the MyJPJ app.

Public Service director-general (KPPA) Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz said the programme was in line with public expectations for the MADANI government to deliver on its commitment to drive change and reform within the public service.

“The Public Service Department (JPA) has played an important role in efforts to enhance the quality of public service delivery.

“This includes our direct involvement in drafting the Circular for the Government Service Efficiency Commitment Act (ILTIZAM), developing the Public Service Performance Index, and preparing the Public Service Reform Agenda (ARPA) module,” he told Bernama.

Meanwhile, visitor Azmi Ahmad, 39, said he arrived in Putrajaya as early as 7 am to get the free helmet.

“I’m from Kajang, and I learned about the helmet exchange programme through social media. I didn’t expect such a large crowd...many people were already queuing early in the morning,” he said.

For Mujahid Yusof, 23, the free engine oil change and helmet exchange were services he had been eagerly anticipating, as they help reduce motorcycle maintenance costs.

“Alhamdulillah, both the oil change and helmet exchange counters are close to each other, which makes it convenient for us,” he said.

The Rancakkan MADANI programme will enliven Dataran Putrajaya for three days starting today, offering more than 300 people-centric services, a career carnival, interactive exhibitions, family entertainment, and various special promotions for the public.

The national-level programme organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU) is expected to draw around 300,000 visitors. It runs from 9 am to 10 pm today and tomorrow, and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the closing ceremony at 11 am this Sunday (Dec 7).

The programme is a continuation of the One-Year with the MADANI Government (PSBKM) and Two-Year with the MADANI Government (2TM) programmes, which have become a tradition for the MADANI administration in reporting directly to the people.

It is also organised in collaboration with the Public Service Department and the Malaysia Productivity Corporation and covers eight main sectors, including Ukhwah MADANI, MADANI youth programmes, the public service reform agenda, the ASEAN segment and Malaysia’s achievements on the international stage.

Held concurrently is the National Convention on Public Service Reform 2025, which brings together policymakers from the civil service and industry players.
