KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- ASIA Records, a continental record-certification platform recognising measurable, verifiable and documented achievements across Asia, hosted its inaugural Gather of Achievers today, marking a major milestone less than two months after its official launch on Oct 22.

The event brought together record holders, organisations, partners, industry leaders, media representatives and members of the public, reinforcing the platform’s vision that achievements should not only be formally recognised but also shared, celebrated and experienced by the wider community.

ASEAN Records and ASIA Records executive director Eldrick Koh said the ASIA Records initiative went beyond record-setting, aiming to inspire people across the continent to believe that excellence was achievable, regardless of background or nationality.

“Through this, we aim to motivate more organisations to aim higher and to see their efforts as part of the broader Asian narrative,” he told reporters after the seventh ASEAN Records and the first ASIA Records Gather of Achievers and the ASEAN Records’ first anniversary at Pavilion Bukit Jalil here.

Also present were Tourism Malaysia Deputy Director-General (Promotions II) Samuel Lee Thai Hung and ASIA Records and ASEAN Records managing director Gillian Ooi.

During the event, a total of 24 new ASIA Records were recognised, spanning achievements from small enterprises to large corporations.

These included 15 records across creative, technology, food, healthcare, consumer products, education and innovation sectors.

The event also recognised nine Developer Industries Edition record holders for achievements in sustainable industrial parks, large-scale township delivery, integrated urban developments, smart eco-industrial infrastructure, green-certified residential projects and innovative commercial ecosystems.

The event also featured curated showcases from Asia Tourism Records, highlighting record-holding buildings, tourism destinations, cultural landmarks and heritage sites across the region.

Ooi emphasised that developers were not merely builders of structures, but creators of cities, communities and experiences.

“This is why we decided to feature developers in our first Asia Records developers edition because they are more than builders of structures, they create communities, shape skylines, and support the tourism ecosystem,” she said.

ASIA Records is owned and operated by Asia Records Sdn Bhd.The platform’s official domain, www.asiarecords.com, has been registered since 2013, reflecting a long-term commitment to record documentation and recognition.
