KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s natural rubber (NR) production decreased by 29.6 per cent in November 2025 to 20,891 tonnes against October’s 29,673 tonnes, chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said.

He said year-on-year comparison showed that NR production fell by 48.2 per cent from November 2024’s 40,341 tonnes.

“Malaysia’s November 2025 NR production was contributed mainly by smallholders (83.3 per cent) versus estates (16.7 per cent),” he said in the Statistics Department Malaysia’s November 2025 monthly rubber statistics today.

Mohd Uzir said NR total stocks fell by 17.3 per cent to 120,208 tonnes against 145,422 tonnes in October 2025.

“Rubber processors factory contributed 76.7 per cent of the stocks, followed by rubber consumers factory (23.1 per cent) and rubber estates (0.1 per cent),” he said.

Malaysia’s NR export amounted to 37,150 tonnes, decreasing 29.8 per cent from 52,932 tonnes in October 2025.

China accounted for 50.8 per cent of total exports and was the main destination, followed by Germany (15.1 per cent), the United Arab Emirates (12.5 per cent), the United States (5.7 per cent) and Turkiye (2.2 per cent).

“Export performance was contributed by NR-based products such as rubber gloves, tyres, tubes and rubber thread. Gloves were the main rubber-based exports valued at RM900 million, a 25.8 per cent decrease against RM1.2 billion in October 2025,” he said.

According to the chief statistician, analysis of the average monthly price showed that concentrated latex recorded a 0.4 per cent rise to 571.93 sen per kg versus 569.84 sen per kg in October 2025.

“Scrap decreased by 1.8 per cent to 589.83 sen per kg from 600.44 sen per kg in October 2025,” he said.
