MOROCCO, SENEGAL REACH AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS FINAL

RABAT, Jan 15 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Senegal advanced into the CAF Africa Cup of Nations final after edging Egypt 1-0 on Wednesday, while host nation Morocco beat Nigeria 4-2 on penalties, reported Xinhua.

At Tangier's Ibn Batouta Stadium, Sadio Mane scored the only goal with just over ten minutes left to secure Senegal's third final appearance in the last four AFCON tournaments since 2019.

After a goalless 120 minutes at Rabat's Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Morocco edged Nigeria in a penalty shootout to reach its first AFCON final since 2004.

The final will be played on Sunday at Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
