EPIC BERHAD CONTINUES SUPPORT OF TSG SQUAD, INJECTS SPONSORSHIP FOR 2026 SEASON

KUALA TERENGGANU, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Berhad (EPIC Berhad), a Terengganu government-linked company (GLC), continues its support of sports development by becoming one of the main sponsors of the continent-level cycling team, Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG), for the 2026 season.

Its group chief executive officer, Muhtar Suhaili said the sponsorship for the 2026 season reflects the company's confidence in TSG's ability to maintain excellent performance, thereby bringing honour to Terengganu as well as to Malaysia on the international stage.

He said that for this year, EPIC Berhad decided to increase the amount of sponsorship to enable the Kuala Terengganu-based team to face tougher challenges more smoothly.

EPIC Berhad's sponsorship reflects the company's confidence in TSG's ability to maintain their momentum of excellence and their capacity to continue dominating the International Cycling Union (UCI) race series.

"It is also the company's commitment to support the preparation and development of the local cycling giant squad in facing competition at the continent and global levels," he said in a statement today.

Muhtar said that besides supporting the continued excellent performance of TSG, the sponsorship is also believed to be able to contribute to the development of a high-performance sports ecosystem in Terengganu.

According to him, this is in line with the values of excellence, discipline, and competitiveness that are at the core of the company's corporate culture.

"The combination of experienced riders and strong new recruits makes the company optimistic and excited to anticipate TSG's outstanding achievements this season," he added.

EPIC Berhad, which is under the Terengganu Incorporated Group (Trg Inc), is an integrated oil and gas services supervisory company for the upstream and downstream value chain.
