JOHOR ROYAL PRESS OFFICE RELEASES EXCLUSIVE ARCHIVAL PHOTOS OF LATE SULTAN ISKANDAR

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- The Johor Royal Press Office today released exclusive photographs from the royal archives highlighting moments from the life journey of the late Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail in conjunction with the anniversary of  the Ruler's passing.

According to a Facebook post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s page, the collection features snapshots of the late Sultan Iskandar’s life from childhood, including his roles and personal interests throughout his lifetime.

“May Allah SWT bestow His mercy upon the soul of the late Sultan, forgive all his shortcomings, and place him among Your servants who are faithful and righteous. Al-Fatihah,” the post read.

Sultan Iskandar was born on April 8, 1932 at Istana Semayam in Johor Bahru and was installed as the eighth Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Nov 15, 1984.

Sultan Iskandar passed away at the age of 77 on the night of Jan 22, 2010, after having ruled the state of Johor for nearly three decades.
