SEPANG, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- Selangor Red Giants (SRG) Assistant Coach Poon Kok Sing has confirmed that the team’s status for next season may undergo changes, though the coaching staff has yet to finalise the matter.

Kok Sing, better known as OzoraVeki, said that the future of several key pillars of the team will only be announced by the management within the next one to two months.

"One thing for sure is that SRG will still be in the MPL (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League) ecosystem. We have already secured a partnership slot. But for now, we are not sure if everyone is still with the team; we will wait for further announcements.

"Regarding the players, we cannot confirm that everyone will stay, but most of the team will still be here. The team will be here. But the lineup might have some changes," he told reporters at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA T1) today.

Speculation has recently surfaced regarding a potential shake-up of the SRG roster ahead of the upcoming MPL season, specifically concerning the contract status of several core players.

Currently, the SRG roster consists of six players: Mark Genzon Sojero Rusiana (Kramm), Muhammad Haqullah Ahmad Sharul Zaman (Sekys), Hazziq Danish Mohamad Rizwan (Stormie), John Vincent Banal (Innocent), Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Mohd Suhairi (Yums), and Chun Chin Wee (Winter).

For the record, SRG finished the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championships in third place after falling 1-3 to the host representatives, Alter Ego, in the lower bracket final on Saturday.

The lower bracket final between SRG and Alter Ego set a new world record as the most-watched mobile e-sports match of all time, reaching 5.59 million Peak Concurrent Views (PCV), according to Esports Charts.

The previous record of 5.36 million PCV was recorded earlier in the tournament during the match between Alter Ego and Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH), making the M7 World Championship the most-watched M-Series edition in history.
