SEREMBAN, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Selangor FC managed to secure a one-goal advantage after securing a 1-0 win over Negeri Sembilan FC in the first leg of the 2025/2026 Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi tonight.

The solitary goal of the match came from a penalty by Chrigor Moraes at the very end of the match during injury time after he was brought down by Muhammad Harith Samsuri at the goal mouth.

An incident of note during tonight’s match was Selangor coach Kim Pan Gon being flashed a yellow card for protesting a decision by the Video Assistant Referee ruling out a goal by Moraes in the 76th minute.

The two teams will meet again during the second leg match at Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium in Selangor on Feb 14 to determine which team will advance to the semifinals.
