CELCOMDIGI POSTS HIGHER NET PROFIT OF RM1.51 BLN IN FY2025, DECLARES 3.6 SEN FINAL DIVIDEND

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 (Bernama) -- CelcomDigi Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM1.51 billion in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025 (FY2025) from RM1.38 billion a year ago.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the telecommunication provider said the higher profit was supported by lower depreciation, amortisation and impairment costs following the full decommissioning of network and right-of-use assets, which had been impaired as at December 2024. 

Revenue also increased by 2.2 per cent to RM12.96 billion against RM12.68 billion previously, primarily due to higher device sales, which were impacted by seasonal factors.

CelcoimDigi said its service revenue recorded a growth of 3.8  per cent, driven by continued expansion in the postpaid and home and fibre segments, underpinned by subscriber growth.

Home and fibre subscribers rose by 9.8  per cent to 315,000, while postpaid subscribers registered a healthy growth of 78,000. The uplift in revenue was further supported by higher internet and IT solution services. 

Total costs increased by 14.6 per cent, primarily driven by higher device costs in line with stronger seasonal demand and higher internet and IT solution services.

As a result, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by RM59 million, or 4.4  per cent. EBIT declined by RM56 million, or 8.6 per cent, due to higher depreciation and amortisation charges.

For the fourth quarter (4Q 2025), CelcomDigi said its net profit rose to RM349.59 million compared with RM158.28 million, while revenue was higher at RM3.45 billion from RM3.28 billion previously.

In a separate statement, it said network modernisation and integration have surpassed 90 per cent completion, with higher service quality and customer experience in upgraded areas. IT consolidation is 80 per cent complete, marked by the successful transition of its channel management systems upgrade in 4Q 2025. 

“The final phases of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems are underway and progressing as planned toward full completion in early 2027,” it said.

On the retail front, over 60 CelcomDigi stores have been modernised, while the nationwide refresh of over 300 exclusive partner stores is now two-thirds complete.

The company recorded strong traction for the new CelcomDigi App with over 5.5 million registered users in its first three months, as at end-2025.

The company closed the year with 20.6 million subscribers. 

It declared a final dividend of 3.6 sen per share or a FY2025 total dividend of 14.7 sen per share, in line with its sustainable dividend commitment to shareholders.
