FLOOD SITUATION IN SABAH LARGELY UNCHANGED

KOTA KINABALU, March 4 (Bernama) -- The flood situation in Sabah remain largely unchanged, with 81 people from 28 families in Beaufort recorded as affected as of 8 am today.

The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said the figure marks a decrease of just one person from one family, compared with 82 people from 29 families reported at 4 pm yesterday.

“All evacuees remain sheltered at the temporary relief centre at Banir relief centre, which has been open since Feb 25,” the statement said.

Only five villages remain affected by flooding this morning.
