FOREIGN MINISTERS OF MALAYSIA, PAKISTAN EXCHANGE VIEWS ON REGIONAL SITUATION

07/03/2026 08:37 PM

NEW DELHI, March 7 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday exchanged views on the regional situation amid the US-Israel war on Iran.

"The two leaders exchanged views on regional situation and expressed hope for peace and stability in the region.

“They agreed to remain in close contact on evolving developments," Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.

Dar has been holding telephone talks with his counterparts from various countries as part of Pakistan's efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East.

The latest tension in the Middle East erupted after the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on Feb 28, killing more than 1,000 people, including Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran retaliated by launching missiles at Israel and American assets in the Gulf region.
