JOHOR BAHRU, March 12 (Bernama) -- The Johor government has approved an allocation of RM1 million for repair works on Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) quarters in Muar, to ensure more comfortable living facilities for police personnel.
Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, in a Facebook post today, said that, during his visit to the Muar district, he had the opportunity to personally inspect the condition of the quarters, which are old and in urgent need of attention.
He said during the visit, it was found that several units were damaged and could not be properly occupied, while basic facilities were also in unsatisfactory condition.
“We are all aware that the PDRM plays a very important role in maintaining public safety and order, and they serve day and night to ensure that the people can live in peace and harmony.
“For this reason, the state government is adopting a ‘whole-of-nation approach’, by working together with relevant agencies to ensure that the welfare of security personnel is always given due attention,” he said.
Onn Hafiz expressed hope that the effort would provide some comfort to police personnel, so that they can continue to serve with full dedication for the safety of Bangsa Johor.
