KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- National pole vaulter Nor Sarah Adi is determined to regain her best form and match her personal best (PB) when she competes at the 2026 Taiwan International Pole Vault Championships and the Nantou-Sun Moon Lake Pole Vault Invitational, scheduled from March 22 to 25.
The Hanoi SEA Games gold medallist said the two competitions in Taiwan would serve as an important platform to kick off her 2026 season, as well as her first experience competing in both indoor and outdoor events within a single series.
“I’m not setting overly high targets. My focus is to regain my PB and reassess the balance of my run-up and technique.
“From there, we will plan for upcoming competitions,” she said in a video recently shared by Malaysia Athletics.
Nor Sarah’s personal best in the event is 4.05 metres, achieved at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games.
Meanwhile, national pole vault coach Roslinda Samsu has not set any targets for the four Malaysian athletes competing for the first time this season.
She said her hope is for all her charges taking part in the championships to deliver their best performances while aiming to match their respective personal bests.
The four athletes going for the championships are Muhammad Naufal Shahrul Afzam, Muhammad Hafidzul Ain, Nor Sarah and Noor Shahreen Jamizan.
