JOHOR BAHRU, March 24 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) arrested 14 foreigners on various immigration offences at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) yesterday.
The agency said that the arrests were made after checks revealed that the individuals entered BSI without authorisation and failed to submit valid travel documents.
From the total, 11 were Indonesians, two Singaporeans and one Egyptian.
"Three locals were also arrested on suspicions of acting as drivers for the foreigners. Four vehicles were seized under Section 49A of the Immigration Act 1959/63 in the same operation,” the agency said.
The cases are being investigated under Section 6(1)(c), 15(1)(c) and Section 55E of the same Act.
