SELANGOR AMK CHIEF MUHAMMAD IZUAN JOINS RACE FOR DEPUTY CHIEF POST

22/03/2025 09:18 PM

SHAH ALAM, March 22 (Bernama) -- Selangor Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief, Muhammad Izuan Ahmad Kasim, has confirmed his intention to contest the AMK deputy chief post, for the 2025-2028 term, in the upcoming PKR elections this May.

The Kota Damansara assemblyman said that his decision was driven by the belief that this election is not merely about selecting the party leadership, but also about shaping the future of AMK ahead of the 16th General Election.

“AMK is more than just a party wing; it is the frontline of our struggle. Fighting for justice is not mere rhetoric, but a principle I have steadfastly upheld since my student days."

“With the Prime Minister hailing from Keadilan, it is AMK's duty to ensure Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's leadership remains strong, and that Keadilan regains its lost seats," he said in a Facebook post, today.

The AMK deputy chief position is currently held by Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, who is also the political secretary to the Prime Minister.

Muhammad Kamil has previously confirmed his intention to contest the AMK chief post, which is currently held by Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Adam Adli Abd Halim, in the upcoming PKR election.
