PKR MEMBERS URGED TO LODGE ELECTION COMPLAINTS THROUGH OFFICIAL CHANNELS

29/04/2025 12:05 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 (Bernama) -- PKR members have once again been advised to lodge complaints regarding misconduct in the party’s 2025 elections only through official channels to enable appropriate action to be taken.

PKR Party Election Committee (JPP) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa said complaints submitted would be reviewed by the JPP 2025 Objections and Complaints Committee.

“Only by doing so can we take the necessary action. If there are no formal complaints or objections, we cannot review them because every complaint and objection must be submitted with evidence,” she told reporters after the 2025 Semarak Aidilfitri Gathering with Media Partners held here tonight.

Also present was Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin.

Dr Zaliha was commenting on some candidates who had taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the election results.

On Jan 26, PKR secretary-general Dr Fuziah Salleh announced that elections for positions at the division levels had been scheduled from April 11 to 20.

Meanwhile, elections for positions in the Central Leadership Council (MPP), Central Women’s Leadership Council (MPWP) and Central Youth Leadership Council (MPAMKP) for the 2025-2028 term would be held on May 24.

Commenting on the status of construction work on the J. Satine mixed development project in Wangsa Maju, Dr Zaliha, who is also Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), said Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) would hold engagement sessions with the developer and buyers.

Recently, DBKL in a statement informed that construction work for the J. Satine mixed-development project, which was previously suspended following cracks in Block C, has resumed for the SOHO block as well as Blocks A and B.

The decision was made following a progress report by an independent consultant dated Feb 24, prepared by a certified professional engineer.
