INDONESIA

1.RULING COALITION OUTCLASSES OPPOSITION -- THE JAKARTA POST

The projected outcome of Wednesday’s regional polls has cemented the dominance of President Prabowo Subianto’s big-tent electoral alliance, the Onward Indonesia Coalition (KIM), which was also behind the administration of former president Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, after candidates backed by rival camps suffered upset defeats in a number of key battlegrounds.

 

2.PRESIDENT PRABOWO ANNOUNCES 6.5% INCREASE IN 2025 MINIMUM WAGE -- JAKARTA GLOBE

President Prabowo Subianto officially announced a 6.5 per cent increase in the 2025 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) during a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday.

 

CAMBODIA

1.KING RETURNS AFTER PROMOTING FRIENDSHIP WITH VIETNAM -- FRESH NEWS

King Norodom Sihamoni returned home after concluding a two-day visit to Vietnam. He discussed with Vietnamese leaders how to bolster cordial relations between neighbours and uphold long-term stability between the two countries during his visit.

 

2.CAMBODIA-CHINA THINK TANKS IN ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIP -- FRESH NEWS 

Cambodia and China entered a partnership to advance academic collaboration and deepen Cambodia-China ties. The International Relations Institute of Cambodia of the Royal Academy of Cambodia partnered with the Institute for Overseas Safety and Security of China. 

 

MYANMAR

1.OCTOBER DIESEL IMPORTS REACH 432,000 TONNES -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Authorities imported over 432,000 tonnes of diesel and Octane worth RM1.5 billion in October. Almost  90 per cent of fuel oil is imported and the remaining is produced locally. Authorities also seized 454 tonnes of illegally imported fuel oil.

 

2.EXPANDING TYRE PRODUCTION TO MEET LOCAL DEMAND -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Myanmar is trying to increase locally made tyres to meet demand for agriculture machinery, motorcycles and three-wheelers in the country. There are five million motorcycles. Producers are also exploring to export quality tyres and tubes. 

 

VIETNAM

1.SINGAPORE’S BILLION-DOLLAR TEXTILE FACTORY IN CENTRAL VIETNAM -- VIETNAM NEWS 

The local government approved a RM2.5 billion Singaporean textile factory project on a 50-hectare land in the Tho Loc Industrial Park in central Vietnam. The factory is expected to begin operations in the second quarter of 2028.   

 

2.VIETNAM-CHINA STATE MEDIA IMPROVE 70-YEAR RELATIONS -- VIETNAMPLUS

Ahead of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year, Vietnam News Agency and Xinhua News Agency are deepening collaboration in news exchange established 70 years ago. The two-state media will escalate cooperation amid the changing media landscape driven by new technologies.

1. HAT YAI ANNOUNCED A DANGER ZONE AS FLOODING LOOMS -- The Nation Mayor urges residents to move their belongings to higher ground and prepare to evacuate as canals come close to overflowing.

 2. B19BN TO  FIX TWO NORTHERN PROVINCES -- Bangkok Post The government has approved 19 billion baht to fix infrastructure and utilities in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai following the recent heavy floods, government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub said.
