Crane Rice, named after the vulnerable Sarus Crane, is being promoted nationwide to protect the birds. There are only about 180 Sarus Cranes left in Cambodia and their numbers have reduced due to deteriorating habitat conditions and agricultural chemical pesticides poisoning.
