ROME, Feb 3 (Bernama-WAFA) -- The World Food Programme (WFP) said that "humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip are enormous, amid the return of displaced Palestinian families to their areas in the north," after about 15 months of Israeli genocide.
According to Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA), the programme stressed in a post on X on Sunday evening, that "any hope for the recovery of the Gaza Strip requires a comprehensive humanitarian response with the cooperation of all UN agencies."
The WFP added: "With the return of displaced Palestinian families to northern Gaza, our teams are working to establish more distribution points to provide much-needed food."
The United Nations programme described the humanitarian needs in Gaza as "enormous."
It also published a video clip showing hundreds of displaced Palestinians flocking on foot towards the north of the Strip amidst destroyed buildings.
