KUCHING, March 1 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has announced that an artificial intelligence (AI) course for community leaders in the Petra Jaya parliamentary constituency will be introduced soon in collaboration with Microsoft Malaysia.
Fadillah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya, said the initiative aims to curb technology misuse and drive economic growth.
“One of our key focuses is mastering AI and other technologies to ensure they are used for positive purposes, such as disseminating accurate information and enhancing leadership management.
“This AI course will target community leaders, teachers, and youth, as well as entrepreneurs, equipping them with the necessary technological skills to market their products effectively,” he said.
He said this after officiating the annual grant presentation ceremony for Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs), mosques, and surau in his constituency today.
Earlier in his speech, Fadillah urged all segments of society in Petra Jaya to embrace AI and technology in governance.
At the ceremony, a total of RM591,000 in annual grants was distributed to 87 JKKKs and 30 mosques to support various initiatives throughout the year.
