BARCELONA, March 5 (Bernama) -- Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching is set to lead the Malaysian delegation to Barcelona, Spain, for a two-day working visit in conjunction with the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.
Representing Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, Teo will begin her visit today with a bilateral meeting with the MWC host, the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA).
She is also scheduled to witness the exchange of several memoranda of understanding involving eight Malaysian companies, and participate in an “iftar” event with the Malaysian diaspora in Spain.
Teo will also visit the Malaysian Pavilion at MWC 2025, which showcases the country’s technological advancements and its role in driving progress through 5G deployment, digital infrastructure and collaborative innovation in the ASEAN region.
The pavilion also features the MCMC Nexus, an analytics tool aimed at enhancing network performance and urban planning, along with various digital solutions applied in sectors such as healthcare, education, manufacturing and smart cities.
Among the participating Malaysian industry leaders are Digital Nasional Bhd, CelcomDigi Bhd, Maxis Bhd, Telekom Malaysia Bhd, U Mobile Sdn Bhd, YTL Corporation Bhd and Edotco Group Sdn Bhd.
The Malaysia Pavilion will be showcased at Hall 7, Stand 7H51 during MWC 2025, which runs from March 3 to 6.
