KENINGAU FULLY RECOVERS FROM FLOODS

KOTA KINABALU, March 28 (Bernama) -- All flood victims evacuated to the temporary relief centre at Dato Angian Andulag hall in Apin-Apin, Keningau, were allowed to return home today.

District Officer and District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) chairman Peter Jonu @ Peter J.Moinjil said the relief centre, which opened yesterday, was officially closed at 2 pm.

“Based on reports and on-the-ground information from agencies within the JPBD, we declare that the disaster situation has fully recovered,” he said in a statement.

Yesterday, 36 people from 12 households were evacuated to the relief centre after floods struck villages around Sungai Pagalan.
