KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- General Omi Beef Trading Co Ltd, a company dedicated to promoting premium Omi beef from Shiga Prefecture, Japan, has expanded its international presence by opening its first franchise store in Singapore.
The launch marks a strategic move to broaden the global appeal of the Omi beef brand through its wholly owned subsidiary, Omigyu Trading Singapore Pte Ltd.
In a statement, the company said it unveiled "STEAK SUDAKU" at 3 Boon Tat Street in the Telok Ayer district on April 14.
This fast-casual restaurant specialises in Omi beef steaks, offering a streamlined dining experience with quick service and delivery.
The brand name “Sudaku” is a coined word inspired by simplified Chinese characters that convey the ideas of Xǐ (joy), Dá (achieve), and Jù (gather). It aligns with the Japanese term “Sudaku”, meaning “gather”, emphasising the restaurant’s mission to be a joyful gathering place for diners.
