MANULIFE LAUNCHES NEW MEDICAL PLAN GIVING FULL HEALTHCARE COVERAGE

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- Life insurer Manulife Insurance Bhd has introduced a new medical plan, Manulife Health Saver Enrich (MHSE), aimed at providing end-to-end healthcare coverage from prevention to recovery.

Manulife said in a statement today that the plan covers preventive care such as vaccinations for dengue, influenza, cervical cancer and pneumococcal disease, as well as outpatient and inpatient treatment, and post-treatment follow-up including cancer screening.

“It features an industry-leading no claims discount (NCD) of up to 40 per cent on medical cost of insurance, and continuously tiered lower if claims are made during the insured period.

“There are also flexible options and dynamic pricing according to the level of coverage needed,” it said. 

NCD refers to a discount on insurance premiums granted to policyholders who do not make any claims during a specified period.

Manulife chief executive officer Vibha Coburn said the company is pleased to introduce a plan that supports customers' holistic medical needs.

“Our goal is to provide long-term protection, value and peace of mind to our customers and their families, so they can focus on what truly matters – living a healthy, fulfilling life,” she said. 

The company also announced a limited-time MHSE Guaranteed Conversion Program, allowing existing policyholders of selected Manulife medical products to convert to MHSE without medical underwriting.

The programme runs from April 11 to Sept 30, 2025.
