SUNGAI PETANI, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- The Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) has launched the third edition of its flagship engagement series, now rebranded as Jelajah Wira LTAT 2025: Northern Edition, to honour and empower members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF).
The event was officiated by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at Kem Lapangan Terbang.
“As LTAT’s main engagement platform, Jelajah Wira LTAT provides MAF personnel a direct avenue to enhance their awareness of financial literacy, social protection, and retirement preparedness.
“The programme also strengthens LTAT’s alignment with the MADANI economic framework through empowerment initiatives that directly benefit MAF members and their families,” LTAT said in a statement today.
Also present at the event were Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar, Defence Ministry secretary-general Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, and LTAT chief executive Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi.
Building on the success of previous editions in Sarawak and the Southern zone, which engaged nearly 10,000 personnel, LTAT's Northern edition will run from Oct 11 to 25 in Kedah, Perlis, Penang, and Perak, targeting over 7,000 members from 35 camps across all service branches.
The Northern edition will also feature new initiatives from LTAT Group companies, such as Pharmaniaga's MADANI Adopted School Initiative, a programme designed to enhance educational infrastructure, digital readiness, and student potential in schools located within army camps.
“In addition, Affin Bank’s AFFIN PERKASA financial solutions offer a comprehensive financial package tailored for MAF personnel, covering salary accounts, housing and vehicle financing, savings, investments, takaful protection, and business financing opportunities.
“Boustead Hotels & Resorts has also introduced the Royale Warisan loyalty programme, a special initiative offering exclusive rewards, special discounts, and various privileges for MAF members and their families,” LTAT added.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Ashraf said the rebranding from "Minggu Bersama Pencarum" to Jelajah Wira LTAT reflects LTAT's profound commitment to the nation's defenders.
“As a fund entrusted to safeguard the financial future of MAF personnel, we carry out this responsibility with utmost dedication and sincerity.
“We are not only managing their investments; we are investing in their lives, their families, and their future. Through this third edition, LTAT continues to strengthen financial literacy, expand social protection, and build long-term financial resilience for the entire MAF community,” he concluded.
