KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh congratulated young national racer Putera Adam Halim Muazzam on his extraordinary success in winning Races 1 and 2 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Championship in Barcelona, Spain.
In a Facebook post today, Hannah said that Putera Adam, 19, demonstrated the boldness of Malaysian youth who dare to challenge their limits.
“Winning Races 1 and 2 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Championship makes him the first Malaysian racer to create this history, and he is now in second place overall with 94 points.
“Congratulations, Putera Adam, on this incredible achievement. At every corner of the Catalunya circuit, it is not just the engine that echoes but the name of Malaysia being proudly mentioned throughout Europe,” she said.
With only one final round remaining in Misano, Italy, on Nov 6 to 7, Putera Adam and his teammate Paul Levet have a chance to emerge as the overall champions, with the competition now being fiercely challenged by the duo, Enzo Geraci and Josef Knopp.
