The Foreign Affairs Ministry quickly denied media reports of President Prabowo Subianto planning to visit Israel. The Times of Israel reported that Prabowo would set foot in Israel on Tuesday local time, citing an unnamed source familiar with the details.

Singapore’s economy beat expectations in the third quarter, supported by resilient activity in the manufacturing and domestic consumer-facing sectors.

 

2.SINGAPORE’S ECONOMY GREW 2.9% IN Q3 OF 2025: MTI ADVANCE ESTIMATES -- CNA

Singapore’s economy grew by 2.9 per cent in the third quarter of 2025, slower than the 4.5 per cent growth in the second quarter of the year, according to advance estimates from the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) released on Tuesday (Oct 14).

1. FINANCE MINISTRY, BoT PUSH FOR NATIONAL CREDIT GUARANTEE AGENCY ACT -- THE NATION

The Finance Ministry and Bank of Thailand are pushing for the National Credit Guarantee Agency Act (NaCGA) to enhance SME access to finance and modernise state-backed credit guarantee mechanisms.  

2. FLOODING IN 15 PROVINCES, MOSTLY ON CENTRAL PLAIN -- BANGKOK POST

Flooding persisted in 15 provinces on Monday, mostly on the Central Plain, with rising water levels in Ayutthaya and Udon Thani.
