SEPANG, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- World leaders continue to arrive in Malaysia on Friday for the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
Among the dignitaries was Timor-Leste President José Ramos-Horta.
The aircraft carrying him touched down at the Bunga Raya Complex, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), at 6.30 pm and was received by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Malaysia, which holds the ASEAN chairmanship this year under the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability”, will host the 47th ASEAN Summit from Oct 26 to Oct 28 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The summit will bring together ASEAN leaders and their dialogue partners, including the United States, China, Japan and India (attending virtually), in what is expected to be the largest ASEAN gathering since the bloc’s founding in 1967.
This year marks Malaysia’s fifth time chairing ASEAN, following previous chairmanships in 1977, 1997, 2005 and 2015.
